First day in Bangkok

It's 7:26 am right now on a Monday morning in Thailand, but I think it's 8:26 pm on a Sunday evening in the U.S.

So, we finally arrived in Bangkok yesterday as we met with some local contacts . We met with a businessman named Michael and he offered an apartment for us to lodge in. We've had several conversations about our mission and he shared his advice with us over the situation. He told us the ins/outs of the situation in Thailand from a very business point of view. Of course, we took in his knowledge like a sponge. He also said that there is more corruption near the border of Thailand/Cambodia.

Anthony and I also began filming footage of the bustling city life here Bangkok. Oddly enough, we found ourselves in the right place at the right time while filming in a local shopping center. We saw young girls competing in a beauty pageant. It wasn't corrupt at all, there were lots of spectators cheering and clapping. But honestly, it was kind of weird to see a lot of the little girls dressed in full pageant gowns wearing full on make up. It was very interesting footage none the less.

Today, we're meeting with a man named David who is part of a church here called New Song. We'll also continue to film miscellaneous city shots until Chad arrives tonight. Chad had to fly separately because he had to finish a photo shoot in Aspen. When he arrives to Bangkok tonight we will depart to the orphanage in Chang Rai (North Thailand).

Alright, I have to go now to get ready for a meeting.

Talk to you soon guys and gals.
